This year’s conference Expedition is coming up soon, on September 23-25. The weekend will involve orienteering activities, and there will be a variety of challenge levels to suit all ages and abilities.
Marramarra National Park is the venue, which is about as close to Castle Hill as you can get. There are beautiful ridges and creeks which provide amazing possibilities for the Pathfinders to explore, as well as spectacular views, remote wilderness and unique Aboriginal cultural heritage. There is an abundance of Aboriginal sacred sites and rock engravings to discover.
Applications for the expedition go the conference. The application fee is $38 per person if you register by September 8, or $66 if you register after that and before the deadline of September 15. Download the pre-log which contains more information about the weekend including a checklist of what to bring. There will be plenty of hiking involved, so all your gear must be in a backpack and you must be able to carry it all yourself. You can also refer to our normal hiking checklist.
Please also complete the short registration form for Castle Hill club. This means we can start our planning without having to wait for the Conference to supply us with a list of registrants. When you complete this registration you will receive an invoice for $0 which you can ignore.
Register soon and come enjoy the weekend with us! This event counts towards your attendance for the year. Any questions, please contact Alex.
